JOE WILKINSON
Joe Wilkinson is an award winning stand up and star
of BBC Three’s new, hit sitcom
Him and Her,
where he steals the show as Dan, everyone’s
favourite loveable, but creepy neighbour.
Since embarking on his stand-up career in 2004, Joe
has performed in comedy clubs up and down the
country and has earned critical acclaim. He has
supported Stephen Merchant and Russell Howard. He
has also recently appeared on
Never Mind The
Buzzcocks and
Russell Howard’s Good News.
Joe has won the
Hackney Empire New
Act Award and was a runner up in
So You Think
You're Funny. He then went on to
appear in
The Comedy Zone, the best new act
showcase at the Edinburgh Festival.
In 2008 Joe took his own sketch show up to the
Festival entitled
'Two Episodes of
Mash Presents Joe Wilkinson and Diane Morgan'.
The pair gained great critical acclaim and a four
star review from The Sunday Times, their skits
described as blending ‘the absurd and the sharply
real with effortless ease, not dropping the energy
or the gag rate for a moment’ The pair have returned
to Edinburgh in 2009 and 2010 to great acclaim and
have recorded their own radio pilot for
Radio 2.
Joe is currently performing in comedy clubs all over
the country. The second series of
Him and Her
will commence filming in early 2011.
