2Magpies Theatre presents

THE LITVINENKO PROJECT
Hosted by Blue Plate at Outsider Tart

A devised show managed by the Tabard Theatre
at Blue Plate at Outsider Tart

After a hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe, 2Magpies Theatre bring The Litvinenko Project to Blue Plate at Outsider Tart for a theatrical tea party exploring the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko.

November 2015 marks nine years since Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko fatally drank poisoned tea in London. 2Magpies do not know who killed him, but they do know what he liked to eat, what he liked to drink, and how he liked to dance; so this is precisely what they are going to do.

Join 2Magpies in Blue Plate at Outsider Tart on Chiswick High Street as they piece together the day Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in an aromatic blend of possibility, actuality, fact, and fiction. They will even provide the tea.

Please note: this show is NOT at the Tabard Theatre but at Outsider Tart on Chiswick High Road, a short 5 minute walk from the Tabard Theatre. Seating capacity is limited so book tickets now

The Litvinenko Project from arts-news on Vimeo.

The Litvinenko Project is a show devised by 2Magpies Theatre which explores the poisoning of Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko in London in 2006.

Litvinenko was poisoned with radioactive polonium, slipped into his tea on November 1st 2006, and despite numerous theories, nobody has been charged.

2Magpies wondered why this was, and began The Litvinenko Project in November 2013 to mark the 7th anniversary of his death.

Since the beginning of the project, an inquiry into Litvinenko's death has been announced and is ongoing throughout 2015, with the show adapting over time.

The Litvinenko Project is a theatrical tea party which walks through November 1st 2006, and every cup of tea which Alexander Litvinenko drank that day.

The show is performed in cafe spaces and aims to keep the memory of Alexander Litvinenko alive through conversation and interrogation.
